Hello, Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got what they wanted. Ours was pretty good we spent it with 2 of ours daughters and their families. I love to watch the excitement of the young ones opening their gifts. All of the excitement of seeing their faces is always a joy.
On to my card for today. One of our grandson's birthday is on the 30th and it will be celebrated tomorrow. He is Nana is visiting for Christmas but she is leaving the day before so they wanted to be able to have her join in on the celebration. He is turning 4. This little guy and his brother were both born in Alaska and I sure do remember when they were born and how cold and all the snow. I am so glad that I was able to be there and be in the delivery room to watch them come into this world. There is another one on the way. She is due the beginning of February but I have a feeling it will be in January, since my daughter wanted to be surprised we don't know the sex at this point. She has asked me to be in the delivery with her for this one also.
Sorry got off the subject there for a little bit. That is easy for me to do. I am talking about one thing and then it reminds me of something else, so I deter from the original thought.
I made his older brother an easel card for his birthday, so I thought I would make him one also. I just received a new stamp from PTI called Tiny Treats. It has several cute images to use and a few sayings to go along with them. I use the little dinosaur because he likes them ( I hope he still does anyway) they change their minds so much.
Happy Birthday, W!!
Thanks for stopping by today,
Have a wonderful day
Enjoy,
Liz

Doraline w/Sunflower
Hello! How is everyone doing today? Are you ready for Christmas this. All shopping and wrapping done. My husband help me finish up the wrapping today. I think this might be the first year that we were done a few days before Christmas. I am usually running around trying to finish everything up at the last minute. I do still have a couple of projects that I want to get done. I am going to no try and stress about it. They aren't much so I think I am good.
I decided to do Motivet's challenge. The challenge is a sketch challenge. That makes it easier for me. I can start there and decide on what image and color. I love this Doraline with the sunflowere. My husband is from Kansas and since the sunflower is their state flower, so it has a little extra special meaning. I used my new my new pattern paper pack Nook and Pantry from Basic Grey. I used a combination of CS from SU! and Papertrey Ink. The flowers are from Prima. I did some stitching on my sew mini and even some faux stitching.
I used my Label 8 nesties. I used my word window punch for my sentiment. The buttons are from Papertrey In. The dragonfly I bought awhile back at a scrapbook store in Big Bear. Sometimes I forget I have things until I start searching through things. I so need to get better organized.

Whimsy Challenge #33
Hello! Happy Monday morning to everyone. Do you have all your shopping done. I finally got mine finished yesterday. Now it is all the baking and cooking to be done. That is the fun part. The aromas and all the goodies.
It is time for another Whimsy Stamps challenge. This week the challenge is to use some sort of chipboard somewhere on your card. I had some hearts and covered them with pattern paper and sanded the edges. Why not join us for this challenge. You have plenty of time since this challenge will run for two weeks. Remember you do not need a Whimsy Stamp to join in but if you have one why not use it.
For my card this week I used sweet Emma. I colored her with some copics. The PP is from K&C company LIfe's Journey. The CS is from Papertrey Ink. the colors I used were Sweet Blush and Scarlet Jewel and white. I used my nestabilities to cut my image out. The lace si some I had in my stash and ran some ribbon through it.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

A Gift for you...
* Second post for today, please scroll down*
I was playing around in my craftroom today and came across a box that our checks came in and since the box wasn't even put together I thougt I would make one of my own. Well it is longer than twelve inches so I layed it on an angle on a 12x12 piece of cardstock and traced it. I think next time I will cut it down to make a smaller box but this worked for now. All I need now is to decide on a gift and who to give it to. The PP is something I had in my stash and not where I got it. The box itself is the same paper as the tag. I tied some ribbon that I had around it and wanted to add a little more so I got out some ribbon I used on my Christmas cards last year and simply tied it around the first bow. The tag is from Spellbinders Fancy tags. I cut it then while still in the die I took my gold pen and traced around the edges and open spaces for some extra detail. Then stamped my to-from and added a gem to each corner. Simple and easy to put together for a quik gift wrap.
That is it for this one,
Thanks again for stopping by,

Posey.. Congratulations!
Hello everyone! It is Friday and boy am I glad! What a week is has been, sure hoping the weekend it better. Still have a lot to do before Christmas. I am trying not to stress about it but that isn't always easy especially for me. I still have a couple more gifts to buy and then the wrapping. My husband helps me with that, he seems to enjoy it.
On to my card for today. I made this for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This week they wanted sparkle. It doesn't look like much in the picture but I used stickles in my flowers and a Olive Spica Glitter pen around the image and the on the roses, her barrett, cherries and the lace on her dress I use a sliver gel roll glitter pen. For the sentiment I first stamped it with versamark and then in my black ink pad and used clear embossing powder. I love how it turned out. I am definitely going to try it with different colors.
A friend of mine is having the grand opening of her store tomorrow so I thought I would give this to her. This lady makes the best cinnamon rolls you ever tasted. I can't wait to see what else she has in her store.
That is about it for me today,
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stoppin by,

Hilda on Innertube...
Hi! Can you believe that this week is half over already? Things around here are pretty much the same so I don't have a whole lot to talk about so I will just get on to my card for today.
This was for a challenge over at Motivet. This little cutie is called Hilda on an Innertube. the challenge this week was to do a monochromatic card. I hope I did this right since I do have some white in there with my pattern paper. This is the first time I colored this stamp. Their images are so easy to color and so much fun.
I am going to really cut this short and just tell you what supplies I used. I started with Hilda and then cut her out with my Labels 5 Nestabilities and then layered it with a larger one in Raspberry Fizz from Papertrey. The PP and ribbon is also from Papertrey Ink. I used some flowers from I Got Flowers, I bought in a crate from Target sometime back. I used some liquid pearls in the center of each one. Then I put a gem in each corner.
Thanks for stopping by,
Have a great day'

Joyeax noel
Good evening! I still haven't got a lot done for Christmas but I have been having fun in my craft room. I wanted to do some challenges and wanted to see if I could combine two. I hope I did it. Whiff of Joy wanted sparkle! and Three Clovers wanted anything but a card. I have been seeing several tags and blogs and wanted to give it a try. I started out with a tag I had and stamped it with a bacground text and then distressed the edges. I had tinted some lace I had with some orange spice tea awhile back and decided this was the project I would use some of it on. I also tinted some twil tape and put a strip on the top and bottom. I colored my Willow from Whiff of Joy with my copics. I used a label punch from SU! for my sentiment and distressed the edges with ink. I used my Olive Spica Glitter pen on the branch. I used some red and clear gems for my bling! On Willow's pants I used a clear glitter pen along the image.
I have an extra project for you today. I made a small Do Me a Favor box from Papertrey. I love these little templates perfect for party favors. They are easy to put together. I also added a shiny flower from Prima for a little sparkle.
I also got a little extra surprise today. I won a stamp over at Wags 'n Whiskers. I was able to choice which one I wanted. It is always so hard to choose when they are all so adorable!

So Sweet of you.....
Good evening! I hope everyone's week is off to a good start. I am still trying to play a little catch up.
I made this card for Dawn McVey's color challenge. These were some great colors. She does have some combos that are challenging. But I guess that is why they called challenges.
The card base is Kraft. I punched the border of the Dark Chocolate with a Martha Stewart punch and placed a piece of Aqua Mist under the lattice. Wrapped some Terracotta Tile ribbon around and used a Vintage Cream vintage button. I cut the sentiment with a Nestability Label 6 and songed the edges with Aqua Mist ink. The sentiment is stamped with Terracotta Tile. I used a brown pen to draw a line around the top of the card.
Have a great evening,

It's Monday....
Good Morning! Oh, I am so late in getting this posted. No real excuses, the weekend just totally got away from and actually forgot what day it was. So I will just get on with my card.
This week over at Whimsy Stamps this weeks challenge is to a Black and White Card. As you know you do not need to use one of our images but if you do why not use it? This week I chose this skunk. I colored him in with my Koh-i-Nor pencils. I starte with black cardstock and then layered my pattern paper in three panels and sewed around the edges. Matted my main focus image onto black and then on white cardstock. I wrapped white ribbon around my panel then my image. I have this black flowers but don't really look like it and put white brads on either side. I didn't put a sentiment because not sure what I will use it for yet.
Thanks for coming by today,

Make a Difference....
* Second post for today, please scroll down to see the first*
Hello. Two posts in one day, I don't get to do that too often. I had a little extra time in my craft room today so I did a couple of challenges instead of waiting until the last minute.
I was actually going through my blogs I read this morning and saw that Lorie Craig at Make a Difference had a sketch challenge. I like the design and thought I would see what I could come up with. I loved the sketch. Her sample is beautiful.
I started out with Vintage Cream CS from Papertrey Ink. The CS I used was Spring Moss, Hibiscus Burst. The pattern paper I had in my stash. I am not sure but I think I bought it at Target. The border punch is from Martha Stewart and placed some sticker gems. The ribbon is Spring Moss grosgrain ribbon, then I put a little dragonfly that I got in the jewelery section from JoAnn's, I believe. I used my nesties label 4 and stamped a leaf pattern from PTI Beautiful Bloom stamp set and placed a few gens on them. I distressed the edges with Hibiscus Burst Ink.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Just for you!
Good evening! Where is the time going it is already Friday and two weeks until Christmas! I made this the other day but wasn't happy with it so I redid it today. I like it much better. I wasn't sure how these colors would go together but I am pleased with the results. Now the question is, Who will get this?Over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps was a challenge to make a gift card holder. This template is one of Lauren Meader's from PTI. They are so easy to put together. I used PTI Spring Rain for my base color. There is also a template for the mat, so guessing on the cutting. The pattern paper is from the In Bloom pattern paper pack. I tied Ripe Avacado satin ribbon around it with a bow that you can either untie or slide off. I used a small SU! oval punch to cut out my sentiment and distressed the edges with Enchanted Evening ink, then punched a hole and tied it to the ribbon with some twine. The put some silver stickers brads in the corners.
Thank you for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!
Good evening! Hope everyone's week is going good so far. I still haven't made much progress on any of my holiday list. I am so slacking this year :(
I did get a few things done in the craft room for a few challenges. I made this one for Whimsy Christmas challenge. They are asking you to do a project with a Christmas them. I just thought this Santa and pup was so cute I had to use it. I noticed on his list that he doesn't have anyone checked off either. Hope that doesn't mean that he is a little behind also. LOL
I used a couple of PTI sets for the sentiment, names and holly. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the leaf branch (not sure what it is called) and put them in a circle and used a Pure Poppy button tied with twine. I used another Martha Stewart punch for the snowflake pattern on my bottom PP. The paper is from Papertrey. I also used Pure Poppy saddle stitch ribbon. The sentiment is cut out with a SU! punch ( I wish I could remember the name of it). Santa and pup were colored with copics and I used Fun Flock for all the white areas. Then used a decco silver pen for his belt buckle.
That is about it for this card!

Good Luck
Hello,
I have been trying to get a few things done here. I don't think I am going to finish everything, though. That is the way it seems for me, anyway.
I made this card for the Motivet sketch challenge this week. They have the cutest stamps and are so fun to color. I almost feel like a little kid again when I color. It seems to relax me.
I colored Dexter with my copics. I then cut him out with my deckled nesties and distressed the edges a little with Dk. Chocolate. Since this was a sketch challenge and plenty of layers so it was a little out of my comfort zone but I am pleased how it turned out. My papers and buttons are from Papertrey Ink. The leaf pattern is from Turning a New Leaf and I cut it out and put it under my Prima flowers. I used a Fiskers punch for the edge of my Terracotta Tile CS. I punched the sentiment with a SU! punch and cut it in half. I used my Janome Sew Mini to stitch around all of my layers.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look,
Liz

Just because
Good evening, everyone! How is you week going so far? I was able to get in the craft room this afternoon and get a few things done. My husband bought me a small photo studio. I don't have the room for a big one. So I had to play a little with it today. It sure is going to take practice using it.
Now on to this card. This is for The Greeting Farm. They had a color challenge this week. I didn't have the exact colors they mentioned so I am hoping these will do. I am really like this coloring combination. I colored this sweet Savanah stamp with my copics.I used a glitter bit a little on the feather in her hair and on her dress. I used my Sew Mini to stitch along the CS. I decided to use little pearls stickers in the middle of the flowers on my border punch. I used satin ribbon and my bow easy to make my bow. The sentiment is stamped in dark chocolate and cut out with SU! window punch. I used my versamark and stamped a pattern on the CS to make my own PP.
Hope you have a wonderful evening,

You're the Best Ever!
Good Monday morning. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. How is everyone doing with their Christmas shopping? As for me not so well. This year has been a hard one for me and I am having a little trouble getting going.
Since this is Monday we all know what that means, It is time for another Whimsy Stamps weekly challenge. This week is to use die cuts! So get you die cuts out and show us what you can do. As always you do not need to use a Whimsy image but if you do have one we would love to see what you create with it. Have fun with it.
This week I decided to use this adorable monkey. On the image he is hanging from a rope but I wanted him to hang from a vine so I used one my stamps you create that. I colored this little guy with my copics and cut him out with my Labeles 5 nestabilities and the distressed the edges with Dk Chocolate ink. I chose to keep it simple to concentrate on the images. The pattern paper is some I had in my stash and decide to ink up a leaf image in each corner.
Hope you have a wonderful day,
Liz

You're Snow Sweet!
Hello! I have been about blogging this week. I do have a reason. My back decided to give me fits this week and it was hard to even walk let alone get in the craft room for craft time. I tried yesterday but my mojo just wasn't there, probably because my back was still acting up. It is feeling alot better and was actually able to get a few things done today. I was really excited about that!!
Now onto my card. This was made for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I am so glad that I was able to get it done because it is so close to the deadline that I hope I make it. The challenge for this week was Touchy, Feely, I choose this cute Bernadette image and used my fun flock on the muffs. I actually have been trying to use up some of my scrap papers so I pulled a few out for this card. I used the Fancy Tags from Spellinders for the sentiment. They are actually a little bigger than I thought they would be but I like them. I sponged it while I still had the tag in the die. I used my Bow Easy for a double loop bow. It sure makes it easier to get a decent bow. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the little leaves behind the bow.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Believe
Hello, can you believe it is December already!! Time is just flying by. Less than two months until 2010. I have a list of things to do and sure hope I can get them done. I was hoping to get a few things done in the craft room today, that wasn't suppose to be. I tweeked my back and the pain goes down into my leg so it was hard for me to concentrate on things. I am laying on a heating pad right now typing this post up. I am hoping that it will ease up so I can get a few things done this evening. However I was able to get this one card done. It is for Motivet. They have a sketch challenge, which is a big help for me. I fell in love with this sweet angel girl when I first saw her. It helped that I had already had her colored and so all I had left to do was to decide what papers I wanted to use.
I found some cute papers in my Glitter Sweet paper pack from DWCV and thought they would work well with Angel Girl. I finally bought me a bow easy. I am going to be using this tool quite often. I have so much trouble with bows and this takes all the struggles away.
That is about it for today.
Take care and thanks for stopping by,
Liz
Supplies:
Stamps: Motivet Angel Girl, PTI Tree Trimming for the sentiment
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, PTI Sweet Blush
Paper:Su! Ruby Red for card base, SCWV Glitter Sweet, PTI Pink Patterns

Thinking of you....
Good Morning!! That means it is time for another Whimsy Stamps challenge. This week is monochromic. We would love for you to join us. As always you do not need to use a Whimsy Stamp but if you do we would love to see it. I choose to use this turtle because of knowing I wanted to use green of course he went along with that. I used copics to color him. He was cut out with a #6 nestabilitie. The base of the card is PTI Ripe Avacado layered with Spring Moss and the new Turning a New Leaf pattern paper. The ribbon is Spring Moss and stamped the sentiment on the ribbon in Ripe Avacado.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great weekend. We had a pretty good one. I even took my granddaughter to see New Moon. She really enjoyed and even wore her Team Jacob shirt. I had read the books so at least I knew what it was all about. It was nice having an outing with her.
Today our son-in-law is being promoted today ( he is in the Air Force) and my husband and I were invited to go to the ceremony, so we will be doing that later today. I haven't been to any thing like it so it will be all new to me. My husband was in the Marine Corps and they did the promotion within the squad and don't remember the families being invited.
Have a wonderful day,
Thanks for stopping by,

Today our son-in-law is being promoted today ( he is in the Air Force) and my husband and I were invited to go to the ceremony, so we will be doing that later today. I haven't been to any thing like it so it will be all new to me. My husband was in the Marine Corps and they did the promotion within the squad and don't remember the families being invited.
Have a wonderful day,
Thanks for stopping by,

Christmas Wishes
Good morning everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spend it with a couple of our kids and their families and even got to bring out oldest home with us for the rest of the weekend. It is always a joy to have her around. We do projects and hang out together. If she has homework to do she does that while I am either crafting or on the computer. She has read all of the Twilight books and so have I. Since she hasn't seen New Moon yet, we are going to try and fit that in this weekend also. I am glad that we can do things like that together and even better than she wants to share things like that with me.
Now onto my card. This for a challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! The challenge was to make a Christmas/Winter card. I just loved this image called Ozzie and Harriet and wanted to color it right away. I am thnking about using it for my Christmas cards since it is only my husband and I. The colors I chose to use are PTI Spring Rain, Scarlet Jewel and Stampers Select white. I love this color combination. I colored it with my copics and used some nesties to cut it out. The ribbon is Scarlet Jewel polka dot. I used a label punch from Stampin' Up! and a circle punch to place the sentiment on top and put some pearls on top and bottom. I used some stickles for the ice.
That is about it for me today,
Have a wonderful weekend,

.RSCC #19 I'm so Grateful....
Hello, back again with another post for you. I have had a little extra time in my craft room the last couple of days and feel I have gotten several things done that I wasn't sure I would be able to. This card is for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Sweet color challenge. Aren't the colors so pretty for this color challenge. That is an actual T-shirt that Dawn is wearing in the photo.
I have to admit that I was a little leary of these colors. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and give it a try. I was lucky enough to have my order arrive early yesterday morning while I was in the craft room so I was able to use a couple of my new stamps, The card base is Raspberry Fizz. I used my Turning A New Leaf set stamp the tree branch in Spring Moss on Aqua Mist CS. The little bird is from Birds of a Feather stamped with Dark Chocolate. I layered it on Lavendar Moon and punched the bottom with a new border punch from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate from Dawn's new set Signature greetings. I love how it is hadwritten and it is even better since it isn't my handwriting. I used Dark chocolate ribbon.
Have a good day. I may have more posts later so check back.

November Papertrey Blog Hop...
Good evening, everyone!! It is hard to believe that it is already time for another PTI blog hop. This year just seems to be zipping by.
I was finally able to get my project done for tonight. I was sure if I was going to be able to. But I am sure glad that I did.
These tags I have had in my mind for sometime since I saw what the blog hop was going to be. I just received my Labels 6 Nestabilities a few days agao and instantly thought they would be perfect. I used the second largest die. I used my vintage tea dye duo to distress my edges. I stamped the hangers for the ornaments in Encore gold ink. I thought I would just make different colored ornaments with with my vintage buttons. I stamped the gingerbread man with Dark Chocolate and used some Pure Poppy vintage buttons. I popped him up with pop-up dots. The candies were from a set that I happened to come across in my supply. I turned one around so you could see the to/from stamp. I used Holiday Button Bits and 2009 Holiday Tag Collection for the to/from. I used button twine from PTI to make a hanger. I loved how they turned out. I am going to make some more for all my grandkids.
Can't wait to see what all of you have done!
Have a great night and have fun hopping from blog to blog,
Have a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in US.Liz

You're so Sweet!
Good evening! Look at the stamp I won over at Motivet! They are so cute and couldn't believe that I actually won 5 stamps of my choice just for leaving a comment. They are so adorable that it was so hard to choose. Since I got them in time for this weeks challenge, I wanted to ink one up and join in on the fun. I chose this stamp because my husband is a Kansas boy. Their state flower is the Sunflower so now I do things with sunflowers whenever I can. The least I can do since we don't live there. We do make trips there once in a while.
This was a sketch challenge so that was taken care of. I just started putting things together and am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I used one of my new nesties to cut her out. The pattern paper is some that I had in my stash. The border is an Ek Success punch. She is colored with copics. I think the sunflowere turned out a little darker than what I was hoping but I like anyway.
Have a big list of things to do for tomorrow so I have been trying to get some projects in before the deadline. Almost but still a couple of more to go. So you may be seeing more projects in one day.
Have a great evening,
Thanks for stopping by,
Liz
