Do me a Favor

Good evening!!

I was just over on Nichole Heady's blog at Papertrey Ink and just saw that she had the GSS winners up for January. I can't believe that I received Honorable Mention for my Do Me a Favor project. This was the template that they released this month.

I printed my template on Vintage Cream cardstock. I used Terracotta Tile CS for the base and lined it with some ribbon in my stash that matched their Aqua Mist. I used the stamp set Blooming Button Bits. the inks I used were Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart and New Leaf. The buttons are Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart Vintage Buttons and tied with Button Twine.

I was so excited to be chosen that I am at a lost for words tonight.

Have a wonderful evening and thank you for stopping by,

Papertrey January Blog Hop

Good evening everyone!! Can you believe that January is almost over. Time is sure flying by way to fast. I would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments on my last post.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do for thid blog hop but then we just found out that one of our nieces is expecting her first child in September. This blog hop was the perfect opportunity to make her and her husband a card to congratulate them.
I decided to use Bitty Baby Blessings for my image. I love this set. Since we suppose to do the inside of the card I decided to carry the labels 1 to the inside and used it for my sentiment. I used the Vintage Labels stamp set for the edge and the top and bottom. The sentiment is from Simple Little Things ( first anniversary set). On the envelope I used some paper from Bitty Baby Blessings collection and stamp the small images from Bitty Baby Blessings.

Thank you for stopping by!

This & That

Good afternoon! There really isn't much happening here lately. I have worked the craft room for a couple of days now and thought is was about I time I did something. Actually I should be straightening and organizing it.

Nichole Heady from Papertrey Ink make a note pad and made a template of it to share with everyone. I new I needed a note pad to have by my computer because I am always jotting down notes and then misplace them and of course nowhere to be found when I need it. Maybe this will help me get a little more organized also. We can always hope.

It is pretty expanatory so I will just leave you with what I used. I know I punched the hole for my pencil little off center but it is for me.

Supplies:
All supplies used were Papertrey Ink except for the Nesties Blossom Die and Sticker Gems
Stamps: Turning a New Leaf, Take note
Ink: New Leaf, Versamark
Paper: Spring Rain,Lemon Tart, Bitty Box Basics,
Accessories: Nestabilities Blossom Die, Sticker gems from Michael's

Have a great one,

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #21

Hello, everyone! I am back for a quick post. I saw on Niki Estes blog her cute little carriages and she was kind enough to have put her template for us to download. I wanted to make one right away. I wasn't sure what colors I wanted to make it and then I saw Dawn's color challenge and thought the would be perfect colors for a new baby. I started of with PTI's Lemon Tart for the base of the buggy. The panels I used Vintage Cream and stamped it with Basic Backgrounds Star Prints in Aqua Mist. I also did the handle the same way. The inside also has a panel of the same pattern. The wheels I punched out in Dark Chocolate with a 1" punch and the centers were punched with a 3/4" punch and stamped with an image from the same stamp set and then put a brad through both layers. For the card I started with Vintage Cream and then layered another pattern print that I stamped onto Aqua Mist on top of it. I used my Labels Six nesties(It reminded me of a cloud)and stamped the saying in Dark Chocolate. Then I distressed the edges with Aqua Mist and then used my glitter pen for the edges and used Prisma Glitter. The ribbon is Lemon Tart satin. I wanted to do something on the inside of my card so I took two of the label dies and did the same thing to them.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day,
Thanks for stopping by,

Hey There

Hello to everone out there. Can you believe that January is almost half over? Where do all the time go? We are still waiting on the baby. My daughter has a doctor's appointment today so maybe we will find out more. I am so excited to see a new life come into the world and then to finally know the sex of the baby. She wasn't wanting to find out until the birth. Her husband knows and his mother any maybe a few extras that he told. More on this when I find out more.

This card is for a sketch challenge over at Motivet. This cute image is Eddie. Isn't he adorable? I decided to color him with Prisma pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I think I just might have to do this more often. I love how he turned out.

I decided I would go with a different size card on this one. I made the base 5 1/4 square. It is unusal for me but that is what a challenge is for, right? The pattern paper is from Cosmic Cricket that I bought a Michael's. The colors are my usual either. I used my Nesties classic circles and the pinking circles to cut Eddie out. The card base is Summer Sunrise from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is also Papertrey Ink from a stamped set called Bold Wishes. I used a Martha Stewart border punch. The flower I believe is from SU! and I stamped some leaves in Ripe Avacado on Ripe Avacado CS also from Papertrey Ink. The ribbon is some I had in my stash along with the butterfly charms that I bought in the jewelry section from either Michaels or Joann's.

That seems to be for today,
Thanks for stopping by and have a good one,

Just Because

Good evening and thanks for stopping by an having a look today.

This card is for a challenge over at Caardvarks. I have been wanting to do this challenge for a little while now and finally sat down today and did it. I actually changed the sentiment to the opposite side. I hope that is okay. I started out with the basic white for my base. I used a fiskars border punc for the scallops and it had holes so I was able to weave some thin ribbon through it. The Polka Dot paper is from PaperTrey Ink Itty Bitty dots PP in Melon Berry. I scored my lines with the Scor-Pal scorer. I love how it give you little bumps. The sentiment is stamped on white with Vintage Duo Tea Dye ink and cute with the Word Window punch for SU!. I used one of my fancy tags from Spellbinders to layer it on and then put a couple of pearl gems on each side. This is pretty much a simple card by I love how it turned out.
Have a wonder evening or day whatever time you are reading this.

In a Pinch

* Second post for today scroll down for newer post*

Edit: No baby yet. It seems it might not be too much longer, though. So waiting with phone in hand.

Hello, I am sitting by the phone waiting to find out if I need to make a trip to the hospital. My second daughter is pregnant and was having some pain so the doctor told her to go to labor and delivery. We are not sure if they will keep her so I am waiting. It is about and hour or so away so I hope they don't wait too long. She really isn't due until next month so she is almost a month early. So I just might be welcoming our 9th grandchild into the world today. She didn't want to find out the sex until the baby was born so I am excited to find out so I can start making things. I like to do gender spacific and have ideas either way. I will let you know either way.

Now onto my project. I made this "In a Pinch" template from Lauren Meader. She just recently opened her own web store. She has the most fabulous templates. She also now has her own line of clear stamps to go along with them and even digital paper to match. She has all right there for you to make a fast and easy gift packaging. Papertrey Ink has her older templates called Timeless Templates. This month she has Butterfly stamps which would go with this one but I don't have them yet. They were just released at the beginning of this week.

I used some textured CS from SU! for the box itself. The PP is from Basic Grey Sultry. I just love the colors. The border punch is Martha Stewart deep cut border punch. Reminds me of a lattice fence. The flower is from Maya Road. I used some sticker silver brads for extra detail. The ribbon is Spring Moss saddle stitched from Papertrey Ink. I used a large button I bought at Wal-Mart for the closure. I punched double holes a threaded it with Button Twine.

I made this yesterday afternoon and nothing in mind to do with it. I just may put a little gift in it to give my daughter if she does happen to have the baby today.

Have a wonderful day,
Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

Friday Sketch Challenge

It looks like I was a little too late getting in on this challenge but I had fun doing the card anyway and needed a Thank you card. So that is good. I will have to start looking sooner!

Good evening! I saw this sketch over at Friday Sketchers and thought I would give it a try. I am running behind since this is already Thursday. I hope that I have time to get it entered. I like sketches because it is a beginning point and one less thing I have to figure out. I had already had my image colored and posted on my board so I started with it. I cut it out using my Pinking Nestiabilites. The pattern paper is from Papertrey Ink called Turning a New Leaf. The image is also from Papertrey Ink from the stamp set Autumn Abundace. It is colored with my copics. I airbrushed around the image. The ribbon is Dark Chocolate Twill. I used a brown marker and did some faux stitching. The brad stickers are some I bought at Michael's.

I didn't put a sentiment on the outside because I thought it would be too much. I stamped it on a piece of CS that was cut with a rectangle nestie. The layered it on some PP that matched the outside of my card. The sentiment is from Papertrey's stamp set Signature Greetings and the used a flourish from Fancy Flourishes for a little added detail. I am pretty pleased with the way this card turned out.

You're So Special!

Good evening, I am back with another challenge. This one is for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Isn't this image the cutest. I feel in love with her when I first saw her and knew I had to have her. The challenge for this week was to do paper piecing. I paper pieced her overalls and bows with some paper from a pack of DCWV called Old World. The sentiment also comes with the image. It is stamped with Scarlet Jewel ink. Then I colored the rest of her with my copics. For the background paper I used a pack from Making Memories (I believe). My daughter and found it on sale very cheap when we went shopping before the holidays. I love this color and paired ti with PTI's Scarlet Jewel. The heart lace punch is from Martha Stewart. I actually layered two together to give them a little bit of dimension. The ribbon is some I had in my stash and thought it worked perfectly. The pearls are some I bought at Michaels. I had these little button brads that I have had for ages so not sure where I actually bought them. I just thought they would be a great accent on her overalls.

Well that is about it for me today,
Have a great evening or day whichever time you are reading this!

Be Mine....

Good evening!

I have been able to get crafty and feel that I have made some progress in getting back in the swing of things again.

I just received a few stamps yesterday and wanted to ink them up right away and did that today. This image is Lucy Valentine from Motivet. They are having a sketch challenge this week and this is my take on it. I believe this is the first square card I have made. It measures
4 1/4 x 4 1/4. I just might do this again. I used my scallop circle nestie to punch out my PP from SU! Raspberry Tart. I also used some other papers from the same line. I used my white gel pen to dot each scallop. I used copics to color her. The ribbon is some I had in my stash. The letters are from a JustRite set and cut out individually. The flowers are Prima. I used a button brad in the center of each one. I have had them a while and not sure where I got them.

Thank you for stopping by today,

With Love.....

The holidays are over and it is back to a routine again. My husband had last week off and I was sick the first part of the week and then he was sick the last part. So didn't get to do too much. He is back at work today and it sure seems strange. He did make me a ottoman (chest) for my chair that we have talked about for awhile now. But now I have to get it upholstered. I have done the lid, that was the easy part.

I won this stamp in a blog hop at Wags n' Whiskers Stamps. She she adorable. I had so much fun color this image that I played one day and did several in different color schemes. This one I colored twice with the same colors and cut one out to pop it up and give a little dimension to the card. There is a challenge over there this week to use punches or dies. Well I used both. I cut her out with my Nestabilities Lables 8 and also used a Martha Stewart border punch. This is one that also has a corner punch. If you look at the inside I punched around the whole cardstock. I didn't use a sentiment because I am not sure who this will go to just yet. That is about it for me today.
Thanks for stopping by,
Have a good one,

Thank you/ Happy New Year!!

Happy 2010 to all of you! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends. I got sick at the beginning of the week and haven't really felt well until yesterday. What is so bad about it was that my husband had this week off so we didn't get to do much. Then he started coming down with a cold yesterday so we are taking it easy today. I did get up in my craft room for a bit today. I need to make a few thank you cards.
I received a few crafting products for Christmas and wanted to use them. My daughter sent me a pack of Basic Grey Sultry paper so I wanted to use some. My husband gave me the new 2" square stamper from JustRite. I used that for my border around the sentiment. I punched it out with my Marvy Giga. I punched it also in Raspberry Fizz CS and turned it on an angle behind and put some silver gem stickers and popped it up with some pop up dots. The New Leaf CS is embossed with my cuttlebug folder and then I stitched them on Dark Chocolate CS. Tied some white ribbon where the two meet. Then attached it all to Stampers Select white CS.
The Greeting Farm had a free digital download a little while back for the new year. I combined it with my card by putting it on the inside. I colored it with my copics and used a glitter pen on the streamers and in the glass.
Thank you for stopping by,
Have a wonderful day and weekend,
