Making a Cameo Appearance

Posted by Picasa

Good Morning!! Happy Monday!
I am starting out this week with another Moxie Fab World Challenge. I saw the challenge using cameos and since I love them and have wanted to use one on a card so this gave me the perfect opportunity. I am pretty sure that I have a couple of my own put away somewhere but I didn't take the time to look and see. I found this one on my little outing by myself on Saturday and fell in love with it. So of course I got started on it the first chance I got.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by,
Liz

Be Mine

Hello and Happy Friday!

I saw over at Verve Stamps a challenge to make a project with the theme "Baby Love". Since I just recently received an order from them so I thought I would play along. I was in need (or should I say wanted) to make some Valentine's cards for my grandchildren. I used two of their sets for these, Sweet Treats and Swirling Hearts. I also used the Embossed Oval die.

I used the single heart in the Sweet Treats set and stamped it three times under the sentiment. To me it symbolized a group hug from my husband and I for each of them.

I was looking through my candy molds because I wanted to also make them some little treat to go along with my mini card. I found this mold of hearts and saw this one with the three hearts so I knew I had to use it. I also had the three colors of candy melts so I went to work. I also had some cotton candy flavoring so I added some to them.

I hope you like what I did.
Have a wonderful and a great weekend!
Liz

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

Posted by Picasa

Happy Tuesday! It is time for another PTI Blog Hope! I can't wait to see what everyone has done with this challenge. I know I have a few stamps that I haven't used for awhile or haven't seen much ink. I wanted to use Make a Wish Additions because I bought it so I could make some birthday cards for 4 of my grandkids which are all in February plus my own. I had intentions of making them ahead of time but of course that didn't happen so this challenge gave me the push I needed. This card came out brighter than I intended but I think it will be okay for one of my grandsons who is turning 2.

I know you want to get on with your hopping so I will cut it short and leave you with the supplies that I used.

Have fun hopping! Now I am off to see everyones creations myself.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger- I'm So Pretty

Good Morning!! I am finally getting this posted. We had a very busy day yesterday and I was so tired last night to get on here.

I saw the trigger for Moxie Fab World this week and I immediately thought of rolled flowers. I have been wanting to make some for awhile and this gave me the push I needed. I started our by tearing strips of material that I had and hated to actually cut it up but I did it! I forgot to take a pic of it, sorry:( I did a running stitching on one long end and then pulled it tight and stitched it at the bottom to make the flowers.

Here is a picture of the trigger:

I took a close up shot of the sentiment I used. After stamping it I took a glitter pen and traced fabulous. I love the extra sparkle it gives.

This is the card that I made. I love how it turned out.

Wishing You...

Happy Friday!! Yah! It is going to be a busy day for me but that is okay. I have a few things that I need to do for tomorrow. We are going to be celebrating our youngest grandson's 1st Birthday (about a week and a half early). They are going to be heading out on Monday for their new duty station. More about his birthday later.

On to my card for today. My stepson's birthday is on Sunday. This card is a little late getting in the mail but I hope he likes it anyway. I am working really hard on making masculine cards. My husband likes it. I was just a little worried about the ribbon and buttons mostly.

I am going to leave you with the details of the supplies I used. Have a wonderful day and weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by,

Papertrey Posse Monthly Challenge

Happy Tuesday!! I am so late in getting this posted. Sarah, our hostess this month challenged us to do a black base card. I hope I am ok with doing just a black background instead of fully black. I have had this idea in my head for some time now and just now getting it executed. I really am pleased with how it came together.

I need to make this short, I have to leave in a bit to take my mother to her doctor's appointment. I just wanted to get it posted and linked to the site.

All products are Papertrey ink except for the glitter which is Martha Stewart.

Have a wonderful rest of the day!
Thank you for stopping by,
Liz

I will try and get back later to edit this to give you the details on what I did.

Miss You

Hello, how is your weekend going? I was able to get a little crafting done. This is a trigger for Moxie Fab World Tuesday trigger challenge. I thought I might give it a go. I started with the flowers that I crocheted. I wanted to keep it simple and feel this is. I just drew lines to each flower with a copic Olive spica pen. The brads with in my stash. I had just recently purchased some wrinkle ribbon and decided to just tie it around the whole base of the card.
Here is my card:

A Note card....

Happy Thursday everyone! It has been a long week for me. I can't put my finger on why. I just seem to be dragging. I need to get outside and get moving! LOL!

I made this card as a challenge. I saw these colors for a challenge but not sure if they are exact so I don't think I will be entering it. I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone and do more color combinations in my work. I would say this note card really does that, don't you?

All products are Papertrey Ink except where stated.
The base is Orange Zest measuring 3 3/4 X 4 1/4. Then matted a piece of PP from Beautiful Blooms onto True Black CS. The focal image is from Justrite stamp set Beautiful Blossoms and colored with copics. I used my Standard Oval Nesties to cut it out and layered it on a mat of Standard Scalloped Oval and then took some White Opal liquid pearls for dots in each of the scallops. Now to decide who will receive a note from me using it.

Have a wonderful day,

Thinking of You....

Happy Monday Morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My could have been better. I had a headache that wouldn't seem to go away. I seem to be having those more lately. I just try and deal with them when I have them. That is what I seem to be doing more of lately, just dealing with things.

On to my card for today. I did a challenge for Papertrey Posse. The challenge is to do a single layer card. No CS except for the base of the card. I needed this challenge because I don't seem to do these kind of cards much. So this is what I came up with.

I started off with PTI Fine Linen CS for the base of my card. It is 4 1/4 X 6 3/4, which is another thing that I don't do. I usually do the basic A2 size cards. I distressed the edges with New Leaf (PTI) ink and also stampe the Fancy Flourish with the same ink. The flowers are Prima with brads that I had. The tag is from Verve stamps. I used a negative to sponge some Scarlet Jewel ink for the inside of the Vintage Scallop Tag die (Verve Stamps) then used the stamp to go along with the tag for the edge in True Black. The ribbon is Spring Rain satin for PTI.

That is it for me today.
Have a wonderful day and thank for stopping by,

Birthday in White

Happy Friday!!
I had planned to post this sooner but my computer was acting up and I wasn't able to get it done.
I decided that this year I was going to try and get some challenges in. This card is for Moxie Fab World Trigger Tuesday. The trigger was an all white Wedding Cake. I decided to add a little color to mine. I hope that works (at least the card is mostly white).
I used a negative from my new Verve A cut above Vintage Oval die. Then I popped it up using pop dots. The flowers are cut with PTI Beautiful Blooms 3 die with white and Sweet Blush. I made a frame around my focal point with my Martha Stewart scoring board. Then put clear gems in the corners, center of my flowers and on one side of my cut out.

I need to make this short since I have company coming.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks again to all who stop by and have a look at what I do.

Life in Southern California....

Happy New Year everyone!

This is my first post of the year. I thought I would start out with a pic of what we are experiencing here in So. Calif. at the moment. A few weeks ago we were having winds, rain and flooding, now after the first of the year we are getting snow! Leaving in the high desert of So. Calif. you wouldn't think we would get this kind of weather. We actually leave between two mountain ski resorts. It is pretty to see the snow capped mountains in the distance but we don't see it all that often. It is so pretty to look and see all the white and the falling flakes. It gives me such a peaceful feeling.

I am going to make this short. I hope to be back soon with a crafty project!
Have a wonderful and a beautiful start to the new week and start of a new year!

Thank you so much for all who stop by and have a look at what I do,
