Something other than a card

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a good start to your weekend.
This is a last minute project I made for my granddaughter's birthday on Thursday. I say last minute because I have to get it in the mail so she will have it in time. She lives in Wisconsin and when I was there visiting a couple on months ago we did some baking together. She loves to cook and bake (well help anyway). So I thought she could use an apron of her own. She loves blue so that is the reason for this pattern.
Look at the rick rack! Wouldn't it look good on a card? I think I will have to go by some and give it a try.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.

Scented Geraniums

With the holiday it made for a short week. Any plans for the weekend. I hope I will be able to get some crafting in. I have a few last minute things that need to get done for my granddaughter's birthday next week

On to the card. This was a challenge over at Friday Sketches. I really enjoyed making this card. It was another one that I had something else in mind but ended up with this. I like how it turned out.

I first started with the image. I have some geraniums in my backyard and I thought they were more of a purple color but actually they are a shade of a real dark pink, that's okay. Then cut the square to go around the oval shape. Used my scor-pal (love it!!) to do the grid on the card it self. Found the gems in my stash and thought that they would work good with the image.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Would you like an Apple?

It has been a few days since I have posted. I didn't get to do any crafting :( .It was a long but short weekend. We were building a fence in our backyard. (I should say my husband did most of the work, I just helped when he needed it). On Saturday we took a motorcycle ride to Wrightwood to see a momument that they just put in to honor the men and women who have served honorbly in the armed forces. It is impressive and a great tribute.
On Monday Melissa called and asked us over for a last minute bar-b-que. It was just a little drive (a little over an hour). But it was nice and also got to spend a little time with the grandsons. Since they live on Edwards Air Force Base, we also got to see the shuttle. Well sort of. Couldn't get close but it was there. When we left to come home, it was all lit up, the frame work or whatever they call it that it was in to get ready to put on the 747 to take it back to Florida.
I guess I should get to my card. I started out with a different idea for this one but it wasn't work like I had pictured and this is how it turned out. I am not sure yet if I like it or not. I love color these Sarah Kay images. They are so fun!!

Triangle Box

This is a very fast and easy project. I think it took more time to decide what to embelish it with that it did to make it. It is so fast and easy. I left one end to open to put whatever treat you want to put in it. I bought a Toblerone candy bar so I could get the template. SHHH!! Don't tell my doctore but I did eat some of the candy bar inside. Got to have some chocolate some time right? I just carefully opened the box and then traced it and made a copy onto CS and cut it out and then scored the lines where I wanted to fold it.

Deets: PTI for the sentiment, and the CS, SU! Lg & Sm tag punches, leaves that I had in my stash, ribbon, flowers and stickers gems
