Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #113

Hello and happy Saturday! I was finally got a card made for this weeks challenge. I loved working with the Perfect Pearls and plan to work with it again. I decided to work with Pretty Posies this week. The Perfect Pearls that were used were Cappucino, Mint and Mandarin. I used Mat Stack 6 for my cutout and frame.  I used Cane Print embossing plate for the background. Bountiful Banners was used for the sentiment. It was embossed with Chestnut Zing powder. The pearl gems were some I had in  my stash. Then it was all matted onto Ocean Tides cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by and having a look,

Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop

It has been so long since I have participated in a blog hop. I have been needing to get back into things. I think I am slowly starting to do that. This months challenge was to tilt something with your project. I have has this idea in my head for a little while and finally did it. I used summer sunrise, orange zest and harvest gold ink and cardstock. The stars are from the Seeing Stars dies. (smallest). The stamps sets are Star Gazer Additions for the sentiment, Sketched Shapes. I also ran the stars through my sticker machine and glittered them. Popped it up on Harvest Gold cardstock.
I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else has come up with. Thank you NIchole this was a fun challenge.
Thanks for stopping by,

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #112

This has been one hard post to get done. It seems like everything that could go wrong has. First my cuttlebug finally died which I knew wouldn't be long because it has been acting like it was for awhile now. Then my computer decided it was going to give me problems. So I am hoping that this time it will work. I am typing this late at night and seems like I will be getting this posted to this challenge at the last minute. The challenge was to emboss a alpha die cut or numbers. I needed a card for my stepsons step daughter who is having a big birthday next month. I will be back later to give the supplies of what I used.
Have a great day,
Liz

Make It Monday #110

I needed a card for my Mother who will be turning 95 next week. I couldn't come up with any ideas that I liked.  Then I saw the Make It Monday over at Papertrey Ink and decided to give it a try. Thank you Dawn for this wonderful idea. Since she has been living with me for the last few years I didn't have to worry about the thickness or things hanging over the edge.
Thank you for stopping by,

Papertrey Ink MIM #28

Hello!! I have a few of my grandkids starting school this year. I made this card for our oldest granddaughter. She is actually starting her junior year of high school! She has grown into a lovely young lady. I can remember being in the room when she was born and so proud to see my first grandchild being born. I so love spending time with her and am so glad that she still wants to hang out with her grandparents.
I saw Papertrey's Make it Monday challenge this week and decided to join in with this card. The challenge was to use a die shape for glitter. I used a circle and used red glitter around that circle for the sentiment. Her school colors are red, black and white so those are the colors I used. She received the card yesterday and really liked it. I liike mailing cards to them even though they don't live that far away.
That is it for me today.
Have a wonderful day,
Liz

Thinking of You

I was just getting ready to post a card I made for my husband since today is our 33rd wedding anniversary when my brother called and said his wife's son was in a horrible motorcycle accident. So I thought I would put that aside for now and make a card to let them all that we are thinking of them especially during this rough time. A big rig crossed over the double yellow lines and caused him to go off the road and into a ditch, he was pulling it out and then hit a concrete bridge and wrecked. He wound up in a field and couldn't seem to get anyone's attention for a least a couple of hours in the 100+ heat. He broke his back and pelvis and bruised his splene and lungs. I don't usually ask for this but if anyone would say a prayer for them I would appreciate it.Thank you to all that visit my blog and hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
