Good evening everyone! Hope you are having a great week so far. It is starting to cool down here. I am loving it. Cooler, crisper weather. I love summer but since we get such hot weather, Autumn is so nice.
I made this card a few days ago. When my husband and I did a little shopping last week I found some new punches at Wal-Mart. They are Martha Stewart and it comes with a border punch and a corner punch. I love how you can punch all the way around your CS. They also fold up so they are a lot easier to store. I wish all of her puches were that way. As I said before shopping with my husband it better than shopping alone because if I show him and then put it back on the shelf, he says that I should go ahead and get it. I am glad he convinced me on this one because I love how it looks.
I used PTI Autumn Abundance stamp set. I love coloring these flowers and vases. I think I could just stamp a whole lot and just sit there and color them. I used copics and the shadow around the image was done with one of the new pastel colors. They are so soft and just give it a little extra.
Hope you have a wonderful evening!
Thanks for coming by,
Liz

Moxie Fab World
Hello!
I was looking at Moxie Fab World and saw they were having a challenge wanting you to use the gradient color treatment. I remembered that I had a spectrum ink pad and the wouldn't that be a great idea to use it for this technique. I loaded up my brayer and rolled it on some glossy CS. The leaves are stamped using PTI Beyond Basic Borders in Dark Chocolate. I used a corner punch to make the border and inserted the glossy CS, then I used a couple of them on the corners for a little extra detail. The ribbon is some that I had in my stash. I also used some stickles for a little sparkle.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Whimsy Challenge
Good Monday morning!!
Hopw everyone had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday we spent the day at our daughter's. My husband helped her husband do some work on their truck. Our daughter and I went and did a little shopping and of course one of the best parts is we got to spend some time with her two boys. It is always nice to spend time with family. It was a fun day and I really enjoyed it.
Since chosen as a new DT designer last week for Whimsy Stamps, I thought I wouldn't wait and get started with the challenges for the designers. Go over and check their challenges out. Then are fun to do. You don't even have to use one of their images but would love for you to use one if you have any. This week is to use eyelets. I just purchased this cute little bear for a worthy cause at Whimsy. It is a digital download and is called "A Teddy for Paige". The proceeds go to help a little girl who was seriously injured in a bosting accident over the summer. When I saw it the first thing that came to mind was a fuzzy bear to cuddle. I used fun flock in two shades of pink. The heart is done in white fun flock. I colored the tulips and pot with copics. On the pot I colored it and then went over it with the colorless blender in a crosshatch design.
That is about it for today.
Have a wonderful day,
Thank you for stopping by,

Hello, Sunshine...
Good evening everyone!! It is almost Friday yeah! It has been busy the last couple of days and still a couple more ahead. But that is okay one day it will be spending time with kids and grandkids.
I have had this idea in my head for awhile but I didn't have any candy in the house to fill the little cup. I don't keep much in the house because I wind up eating it, and I definitely don't need it. I went shopping with my husband the other day and I finally got some. But what I didn't use for this card I wound up eating the rest after hearing from my husband when he broke down waiting to hear what needs to be done. I know I shouldn't do it but it sure tasted good!
I have had this cuttlebug folder for quite a while now. One day out shopping I saw it and didn't know if I should go ahead, so I did. I thought this was a perfect time to use it. I sure do like shopping with the hubby! He will encourage me to get things that I have to think about. I will always show him what I do so he can give me his opinion. He will always encourage me in what I do and it was so great to see his reaction when I showed him the email I received yesterday about the design team position. Back to this card. I embossed it with my cuttlebug and then used chalks to color it. The center of the flower I cut out so I could insert the cup for the candy. I used a cup from the instant drink I buy. Reuse is great, right? I also did a little airbrushing to soften the white some. I took my two way glue pen along the edges and used glitter to give it some sparkle. The ribbon is some from my stash. I really like how it turned out.

Exciting News!!!
I received an email from Denise over at Whimsy Stamps offering a position on her DT challenges. I was so excited you should have seen me dancing. Well, maybe you shouldn't have. I gladly excepted and so excited to see what challenges are in store for me. Thank you , Denise for this opportunity.
I wanted to post earlier except I had to take a drive to pick up the hubby. He broke down on his way to work and they won't be able to check the motorcycle out until tomorrow to see what is wrong with it. Wouldn't you know it he was almost to work when it just quit on him. It was a nice little drive and this way I got to have dinner with him and spend a little more time than we usually get during the week.
I' ll be back later with a couple of projects I was able to get finished before I had to leave.
Have a great night.
See you soon,
Liz

Celebrate!!!!
Good evening!
I have blogged a whole lot in the last few days. I have been trying to get a few things organized in my craft room so I know what I have and where it is. It isn't a very big room and with all the different hobbies I like to do makes for not much room. I hope one day I will be able to have it where everything is easy accessible. I'm not sure if that is possible if I keep buying more supplies, but you always need new goodies, right?
Well on to my card for today. I am entering this over at Whimsy Stamps. The challenge for this week is buttons. When I saw the seal, I thought it would be cute to make it look like he is juggling buttons. I put the buttons on a round circle and it actually turns. I know that seals usual balance a ball on their nose but why not juggle balls in a circle. Aren't their little animals stamps so cute. They are so fun to work with.
I used some papers from my stash (to get a few used up that I seem to forget about). The CS is from SU! I used a fiskars border punch for the sentiment. The star is from Marvy and the buttons are all PTI. I used copics to color this cute little guy.
I wasn't sure how I was going to lay this out but I am pretty happy with how it did turn out.

MTCC06
Good evening, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I didn't get in the craft room as much as I would like to have but I was able to make a card for Lauren Meader's new color challenge.
I used Scarlet Jewel for the car base, a layer of New Leaf then distressed it. I used Dk Chocolate and Text on the white and then distressed the edges with Dk Chocolate. The flouirsh is from Fancy Flourish and then I used heat and stick powder to add my glitter from Sugar Coated. I used Scarlet Jewel and White Polka Dot ribbon the bow was made with my bowdabra. I sure do need a little more practice with it. I did use little pearls on the flourish. I thought it needed a little extra.
I needed want to add a sentiment to the front of the card because I thougt it would be too much so I added it to the inside of the card.

It's on the House
It's Friday! Yeah!! I have another project for you. This is one of the newest templates from Lauren Meader. I just love her templates. They are easy and fast to put together, besides be so adorable and great gift packages. I think this is going to my MIL for her birthday next month. She says her favorite colors are pink and red. I saw from Lauren's sample she used the Fancy Flourish from PTI. I thought that was so pretty so I went with it. I also embossed it in silver and I love how it turned out. The flower is from In Bloom and I made layers and put them on pop up dots to give it some dimension. Then I took some cotton candy stickles and put it on the petals to give it some glimmer. I have been thinking I will put some bath products in the bigger one and the petite one is just big enough to add a tea light candle. It looks like I need to make a trip to Bath and Body works, oh, darn :)
That will be it for today,

Gratitude...
Happy Thursday!! Hope everyone's week is going well. I sure having blogging at strange times. I need to work on that so I have a regular time to post.
I have been debating on whether I wanted to do this challenge over at Whimsy Stamps. They are looking for a couple of new DT members. I kept going back and forth, I know I don't have to try out but still enter in the challenge. I don't seem to have the nack for a winning eventhough I have been told by people how much they really like my cards. But I keep getting told not to give up and you can't win if you don't try. I keep entering in hopes that maybe I am getting better and something will be chosing some day. Well that was like a soapbox story wasn't it?
I think I should get onto my card. I used the Lion from Whimsy Stamps and cut just his head out this time. He is the only one I have for now. (I will be getting more soon). I decided that his mane needed to be fuzzy so I used some Fun Flock to give it a little texture. Too bad you couldn't reach in the screen and feel it :(.
I used PP and CS from PTI except for the Pumpkin Pie from Stamp UP! on the outside circle of the Lion. The ribbon is also PTI and the Orange Rhinestones are Kaiser Kraft.
Have a good day!
Hope to see you soon!

Happy Birthday to You....
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyones weelend was a wonderful one. It is finally starting to cool down around here. After having triple digit weather for so long it is so welcomed. Finally the feeling of fall in the air. I am not sure how long it is going to last but I am sure going to enjoy it while I can.
Last weekend I went to Michael's and found a new tool (I-Top) that I wasn't sure if I wanted to get but I had a 50% coupon and thought why not. I have to admit once I got it home and started to play with it some, I am going to love this tool and use it quite a lot. I used the largest size brad for the center of the flower on this card and love it! I used a pattern paper this time but you can do whatever you want to make these brads. I Saw on the video that comes with it that she used a snapshot of a baby and thought how much more personal this would be on a card or a scrapbook page!
This card was simple and I have to admit that I think this is going to be a new favorite for me. How simple and quick but still has the impact that you want. This large flower I have had in my craft room for a while now and wasn't sure what to do with it. But I thought with this larger brad it would be perfect. I have to admit that it did over power the card so I put it in the corner but since the petals went over the edges, I had the idea to trim it. Insert a guilt feeling here on cutting down the flower but I do like how it turned out.

Hi There!
Hi! I have another challenge that I made a card for. I do challenges to hopefully help me be a little more creative and do a better job with my projects. This card was a challenge over at Lauren Meader's. She is so creative in all that she does. I just love her projects.
It is Friday! Yeah! Do you have any plans for the weekend. My daughter and her family are coming over tomorrow. We did spend a couple of days with them last weekend but it is always good to see them and get to spend time with the grandsons. They are growing so fast and since her husband is in the service we never know when they might get transfered. So every chance we get to see them the better.
The image I choice to use is Shy Kiki La Rue from C.C. Designs. I think she is so adorable!! I don't know why but when I started to color her the colors pink and purple came to mind so I went with it.
I colored her with my copics. They seem to be what I turn to color with, I sure need to start going to some of my other coloring supplies before they start feeling neglected. LOL
I used PTi Hibuscus Burst and Plum Pudding CS. I used my nesties to cut out the image and two of my Deckled Nesties to make the frame in Dark Chocolate. The ribbon is some I had in my stash. The flowers are Prima's with a jewel gem in the center.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon,

Thinking of You!!
First of all I would like to take a moment to remember everyone and their families that lost their lives on this day 8 years ago. It is so hard to this day to imagine something like that happening. I can remember exactly where I was when I heard that horrible news. I was on the computer when it came on the screen. I was in disbelief of it all. My heart and prayers go out to everyone. Thank you!
Onto my card. I made this for a challenge over at Whimsy Stamps. Their challenge was to use stictching or sewing. I just realized that not only did I do sewing with my machine I stitched with button twine on the bottom of the PP. This is a cute stamp of theirs. I so need to get some more of their stamps. I was actually had my daughters last weekend and she had this stamp so I took one she had already stamped. (Actually she gave it to me).
I colored him with my copics. Since I am limited to my colors I used a couple to make the color that I thought would work. But to tell you the truth I can't remember which ones they were.
Have a great weekend!

Merry Christmas!!!
I know it is only September, but never to early to start thinking of the cards to send out, right?
I was playing around with a new stamp set the other day. I then thought that this was an image of a hanging sign so I got the bright idea to make it swing. It was a little extra and I really like the idea of a banner swinging.
I used my rectangle nestablilities to make the border around the whole sign. When I got to looking at it, it reminded me of a picture frame.
It is fairly simple to do. It just took a little extra for the rings on the sign. First I bought some little jump rings from the jewelry making aisle but I was having a hard time with them, my fingers just kept getting in the way. LOL! Then I had some wire so I cut a couple of pieces and used that which was a little easier. I decided usually around Christmas (not very often around here) that there is snow so I used some stickles on top of the banner and the post to make it look like there was snow outside.
Here is a close up of the sign so you can actually see that it is cut out.
I am going to play around with a few more and see what I like the best or maybe just make different designs instead of mass producing.
Thank you for coming by!
Have a wonderful day,
Liz

Think Big!!!!
Good evening! How was everyone's weekend? Ours was pretty busy one. We spent a couple of days at our daughters. It was fun and busy. We did get a little crafting and shopping in. I found this mini Accordian files over at Amazing Paper Grace. We each made one but didn't embellish them so I finished it up today. They are fun and easy to do. There is so many things you can use them for.
At least it has cooled down a little more, but they are saying it could get hotter by the weekend. I am so looking for fall and a little cooler weather.
I saw over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge is to inspire someone. I thought this might be a project to enter. I am not very talkative so I am going to make this short.
Thanks for stopping by,
See you soon!

Time to Relax!!
Hello, how has everyone week been going so far? At least the weekend is almost here and a holiday weekend at that. Anyone have some special plans?
I just received some new stamps a few days ago and they really needed to be inked up. This is a C.C. Design, Kiki La Rue. They are so cute and a great image to color. This images reminds of times I would love to just sit back and relax and take a break. I saw over at Whimsy Stamps that they have a challenge to do touchy feely texture on you card or project. I thought this robe and slippers would be perfect for touchy feely. I used fun flock on the robe and slippers so they are nice and soft. To relax right you need a fuzzy robe and slippers, am I right? I also used fun flock on the stems in the glass vase. The flower is from Maya Road and is puffy. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the yellow card stock. I really like how this one turned out.
Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time,
Liz

Autumn Blessings
Can you believe that it is the middle of the week already? Time sure is flying by. I have so many things I need to get done, I am wondering if I will but that is what I usually do. I always have more than one project going at a time. I am also a quilter and I do some sewing.
On to the card for today. This one is for Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16. Dawn always has some great color combinations. Since it is a challenge for me to put colors together, I always like to see what I can come up with.
I thought these were some great colors for the fall. So that is the direction that I went. I even used Rangers Crackle Accents to cover my pitcher of leaves. I love this stuff because you put it on and let it dry on its own and it crackles, you don't have to heat it. I made sure I did that part and then set it aside and finished the card. I used versa mark to put a little extra to the card base itself.
My husband really liked how it turned out. He is my biggest supporter in what I do. I show him when I am done and have him give me his opinion. There are times he makes a suggestion what else I can do. But then on the other hand he could just be saying he likes it to he won't hurt my feelings. But he usually gives me his honest opinion.
Thanks for stopping by today and having a look.
Have a wonderful rest of the day and will see you soon!

I'm nuts about you...
Hello, Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I finally got in the craft room and got a couple of things done.
The weather and air quality around here hasn't been so good. The fires are all around us. At least they aren't close but we do get the smoke and some ashes.
This card was for a challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. You were suppose to make a card for your hubby, or loved one and give it to them before the challenge is over. I will be leaving this for my hubby to see when he gets home from work. It is a great way of telling them how you feel other than saying it. I have inked this stamp set up enough. When I was looking through my supplies to see what I wanted to do I came across it and it said ink me! LOL. The sentiment just says it all.
Supplies-
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge Dr. Peanut
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Paper: PTI White, Smokey Shadow
Accessories: copics, PTI Rustic Button, Button Twine
thank you for stopping by,
Have a good one,
Liz
