5th Birthday....
Happy Thursday!! Can you believe there are only two days left of the year? If I don't get on again before the new year I would like to wish every a very "HAPPY NEW YEAR"!
Today is one of my grandson's 5th birthday. I can't believe it has been that long since he was born. I can remember the day as if it was yesterday. His father is in the Air Force and they were stationed in Alaska at the time. My husband I were lucky enough to be able to be there when he was born and I was in the delivery with our daughter and her husband. It is so wonderful to see a new life coming into this world. Of course I would love to see Alaska in the spring or summer and not the middle of winter. It is a beautiful place even with all the snow and temps below freezing.
On to my card for today. I had the idea in my head using my nesties for some time now and decided it was time to implement it. I took my large pinking circles and classic rounds to make the rings. I just put the circles inside the pinking circles to cut them at the same time. I then wound up with the rings and circles. I used my daughter's PTI Sunshine impression plate on one of our craft days and used that as my background. It doesn't seem to show up in the pic. But it does make a statement, I think. I stamped the 5 from Fresh Alphabet and stamped it on one of the circles and but a dome sticker on top to help it stand out more. I then popped it up. The base of the card is PTI Blueberry Sky. I used the double ended banner for the sentiment that was from Birthday Basics. The vintage buttons are Ripe Avacado tied with Button Twine.
Happy Birthday Wy!! We will see you Saturday for your party!!
Have a wonderful day,

Moxie Fab Glitter is Glam Challenge...
Good Morning! I hope everyone had a terrific Christmas!
I decided to play along with Moxie Fab "Glitter is Glam" Challenge. You need to use glitter on your project and with this card I glittered up the butterfly.
I am so late with this card. My stepson's wife's birthday was last week and with all that was going on it slipped my mind. I had just received my winnings from the Papertrey Ink November release and wanted to play. I decided to use my YOF: Mums stamp set. I colored it with copics and then the butterfly is from Butterfly Dreams and stamped with Smokey Shadow and decided to glam it up with SU! Dazzling' Diamonds.
I used Martha Stewart' corner and border punches for the Raspberry Fizz background piece. I also used Raspberry Fizz ribbon and used some pearls to decorate it some.
I popped this up with foam adhesive dots.
That is it for me today.
Hope you are having a wonderful start to your week.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas...
MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
Can you believe that the day after tomorrow is Christmas!! This year has just flown by. This isn't the best picture but I hope you can see it ok. I started off with vintage cream CS for my base. The deer (Rudolph) is stamped on Fine Linen. I used vellum for the snow and then used some Martha Stewart tinsel glitter to give it some sparkle. The tree is Pinefeather felt using PTI tree die and then cut them in half. I used a spica olive glitter pen and ruler to make the border around my main image. The sentiment is from Signature Christmas.
I am going to keep this short. I need to get to some last minute baking.
Hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends.

For you With love...
Happy Friday!!! Boy, am I sure glad this week is over. I had every intention to post this earlier but then I got sick and it hit me like a rock. I am just starting to feel better today. I hate being sick!!
I made these envelopes for either gift cards or even money. I started out with making the envelopes with SU! white and my Martha Stewart scoring board. I distressed the edges with Vintage Cream ink. The trees are from "Believe" stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I first stamped them with Smokey Shadow ink and then went to work with my copics. The gifts are also from the same set. The hand stamp image is from the 2010 holiday tags set. I used Fillable Frames #6 and stamped the "For You, With Love" from my new Wplus9 stamp set. I will write the receiver's name on there. It was also distressed with Vintage Cream ink.
Here is a close up look:
That is about it for me today,
Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by,

Cookie Exchage
Happy Monday! It sure has been hard for me to get back into blogging again with such a long break. I hope to remedy that and start blogging more often.
I went to a cookie exchange party this weekend. It was sure nice to be able to get out and be with other women just to chat and enjoy each other and meet new people. Of course being able to sample so many different cookies and get a few recipes was an added bonus.
I made some very simple cookies with a recipe that my daughter gave me a little while back. I pretty much left it until the last minute to make them so I needed something that was quick. I actually made the recipe cards before I made the cookies so of course I needed to make them now. I printed the recipe on my printer and adhered it to PTI Dk Chocolate (3 1/2 X 5) and used my corner punch to punch the corner out of Itty Bitty Stars pattern paper. Tied a twine bow and glued it to the corner. I masked a sentiment from Enjoy the Ride set to get the word "Enjoy" alone, then used a white smooch to puts the dots on each side. Not to much embellishment so it could fit in a recipe box. They seemed to go over pretty well.
That is about it for me today!
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday X 2 !!!!!
Good Morning!! As you can tell by the post name I have two birthdays to share with you today. My two oldest daughters have the same birthday. No they are not twins. As my oldest daughter would say when they were younger, "they are 1 year 1 hour and 2 minutes apart". I was always asked if I planned it that way, NO. Who would plan two birthdays in the month of December? I would always say the youngest was jealous because her big sister was having a party and so she wanted to join in on the fun. I actually left the party and delivered her within an hour of arriving at the hospital.
The above card was made for my oldest daughter. The butterfly is not a stamp. It is an iron on for embroidery. I received it from my mother-in-laws stash. I saw the idea on a blog and to the life of me I can't remember who. I wish I did so I could give credit where credit is due. I am just going to have to start writting these wonderful ideas down when I see them. Another thing I need to get into the habit of.
I added some glitter to it for some bling.
For my other card you can see it here.
Hope you both have a wonderful Birthday!!
Have a great day,

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge
First of all I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!
It has been a little while since I have participated in a blog hop and thought it was about time I got back into it again.
This monthe was to create our own tags. I have made one of my ideas. I wasn't able to finish the others. This tag I used the Tag Sale #1 for my base. When I saw Dawn's new Signature Series dies and saw the flower I wondered if it would work for a poinsettia. I cut out three in Pure Poppy and distressed the edges with Scarlett Jewel ink. I then crumpled them up and smoothed them out a little. I glued some gold beads to the center. I used an image from Turning a New Leaf and stamped it in New Leaf ink. I distressed the edges of the tag with Tea Dye Duo ink.
These next tags I made special for my grandkids. I just love Dawn's Vintage Ornaments dies and wanted to use this one especially since it is my favorite! My husband printed me out copies of some of their pictures and I then cut them out using a 1" punch. I used Shimmer paper and distressed the edges with Encore metallic silver ink. It doesn't show up well in the picture. I used my copic R29 to color the silk 1/8" ribbon and the little bells I found at Joann's.
Happy Blog Hopping!
I would like to thank everyone for stopping by and anyone who would like to leave a comment. They are very much appreciated.

Happy Birthday
Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. Today is my husband's birthday! He likes the Fluer de Lys design. With Tiffany Pastor's PTI Embellishments stamp set I have able to put the image on his card. I started out with Kraft CS for the base. On my Vintage Cream CS I stamped with Dk Chocolate (which is stamped off once before stamping on my CS)using Background Basic Text Style. I even stamped a couple of images with Tea Dye Duo. The image is stamped with Dk. Chocolate. I used my md. scalloped border die with dk. chocolate. The grosgrain ribbon is Blueberry Sky. I was going to put a button on it but that it looked better without it.
This is going to be really short. I have a few things I need to get done before my husband gets up so we can at least go out for lunch before he has to head off to work.
Happy Birthday, Robert!!
Have a wonderful day,

Skating by.....
Happy Birthday!! I am so glad that the weekend is almost here, how about you? My oldest grandson is turning 7 next Friday (19th). We will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow. His family will be traveling next Saturday to go see my youngest daughter and her family for the Thanksgiving holiday. I wish I was going!
On to my card. I have had some images that I stamped at my daughter's for some time now. I ran out of my skin color copic and just got my refill in this week and was able to do some coloring of this images. Oh I was like a little kid again and was able to sit down and play. I don't know what it is but I love coloring people images. When I went through my images I wasn't sure if I had anything for a young boy. I saw this image and knew it was the one I was going to use. Then I was sure how I was going to cut him out and then the idea popped into my head to have him skating along so I cut all the way around the image. I used the Simple Alphabet set from Papertrey Ink to make the Skating by to say.. The Happy Happy Birthday is from Fillable Frames 1. I started off with Blueberry Sky CS for my base. The hill or sidewalk is Soft Stone CS and embossed with the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate then distressed with Smokey Shadow ink. The clouds were cut with the clouds 1 & 2 die out of felt. A very simple card but I think it turned out pretty cute.
Thank you to everyone who stops by and has a look!!
That is about it for me.
Have a wonderful day and weekend,

New Toy....
Hello, everyone! Hope everyone is having a great week! Look what I found at Michael's!! My husband commutes to work and sometimes when he has to work on Saturdays it is a short day so I will go with him and have a day out shopping or whatever. It is close to the ocean so I take a drive along the coast or sometimes even stop and sit on the beach and watch the surfers or boats and even read a book. Oh, how I miss living down there but do not miss all of the traffic that goes along with it. I did a little shopping on this trip and went to a local Michael's and was just looking around and happen across this wonderful tool! My daughter has the red one and I thought this one was small but she says it isn't. Since I have been wanting one for a long time now but I didn't pick it up then because a 50% coupon I had wasn't until the next day I decided to wait because the price was 39.99 and with a coupon how could you go wrong, right? Well our local Michael's doesn't carry it but went to another and they had quite a few, so now I have one! Not only is it pink but a portion of the sales goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. This is one close to my heart because many women in my family have fought this disease and my sister lost her fight to it almost 29 years ago. I really miss her!
Hope to be back with a project real soon!
Have a wonderful day,

Tribute to Grandma B.
Hello again!!Eventhough I haven't blogged but I did get a few things done and so I am back with a project I did a little while back with my daughter. She saw a project like this awhile ago and was starting to make one using Martha Stewarts doilies. When I saw it I remembered my dad had given me quite a few years ago a tin full of buttons that were my Grandmother's. I didn't want to use them but didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with them so a lightbulb came to mind and then my daughter and I got together and used some of the buttons so that way we can look at them every day. I just used a random source of supplies. My daughter started hers in pink, brown and white which are the colors of her craftroom. It is quite striking and I love the colors. There were enough pink and white buttons for her to use. We just made sure that there was at least one button in each doily.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look,
Have a wonderful weekend,

Papertrey June Blog Hop...
Good evening everyone. Well it is that time of month again. Time sure is flying by anymore. Since this month we were to select a color combo that we really liked. There is so many that it is so hard to choose. I was watching the news the other night and the achor (female) was wearing a jacket the was lime green with a grey print. I immediately thought of Simply Chartruese and Smokey Shadow. So that is the combination I chose to use.
I received the weekly newsletter from SCS this week with this treat box so I made one with the color combo I chose to use. I started with Simply Chartruese to make the base and distressed it with Smokey shadow. The above picture shows the box open.
The band is Simply Chartruese stamped with images from Honey Bees with Simply Chartruese and Snow White. Then stamped the larger bee and popped it up on the band. Tied a Snow White Satin ribbon around the whole box and took a Bridal flower from Michael's and used a dark grey copic marker to color it. I used some Lemon Tart buttons tied with button twine.

Papertrey Posse Mini Challenge #2
Since I saw the challenge over at Papertrey challenge I have been trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I was sitting at my desk this morning and wanted to play around with my new dies and that is how this card came about. I first cut the jar out with clear cardstock to make the see through jar. I went through my PP and found this paper in my Nook and Pantry pack which made me think of strawberry jam and cut it using the same die. I still wasn't sure what I wanted to do for the challenge which is to do some kind of folded card or project. This is actually a 3x3 tri-folded card. I started with a 6x9 piece of CS and scored the 9" side at 3 & 6. Then scored the 6" side at 3". I cut the top left and right squares on the 9" side leaving a 3" square in the center. Folding the left and right squares over and the top square down. I decided to cut off corners of the top square to make it look more like a flap. I measured down an 1" on each side and from the center of the bottom I marked a 1/4 " on each side and then cut from the marks to cut off the corners.
This is the card open to show the how the cards folds up.
Here is the card fully open.I was thinking this would be a perfect little gift card to go along with a gift of strawberry jam since the inside has a little image from Vintage Picnic of a couple of strawberries.
That is about it for me today.
Have a great day and as always Thank you for stopping by,

Happy Father's day!
Good Morning!! Hope everyone is enjoying a Happy Father's Day with all of the men in their lives. We are going to our daughter's today to enjoy a day and dinner hanging with the family. It is always good to enjoy family!
My father and father in law are no longer with us but we do have sons and sons-in-laws so as with my daughters I make cards for them. I even made a card for my husband. That is the one on top. He means everything to me so the sentiment from Masculine Motifs "You mean the world to me" was perfect for him.
I clear embossed the design from A Little Argyle. I thought it gave it a little more dimension.
I am going to make this another short post. Have a wonderful day!!

So Happy for you!!
Good morning! I am so off on my days it isn't funny. I was thinking all day yesterday it Tuesday. I guess that makes for a short week because this morning I realized it was Thursday.
Yesterday my daughter and granddaughter came over and did come crafting. I love it when we can get together and do things like that. I know it just makes my day a whole lot better! My daughter had a silohette machine and she brought it so I could cut some things. I love it!! I will show you some things later that I did when I make a project with them. My daughter was finishing up a sewing project and my granddaughter did a few things. One thing she did that I am going to proudly display is a drawing she did of me in anime cartoon character. I told her that I was going to frame it and I definitely will. Thanks for coming over T & J!!! I had a great time!
On to my project for this post. My husband's sister got married at the end of last month as you can see by the date on the candle. I made this for them. I just haven't gotten it posted until now. Since we weren't able to attend I don't know if she had a specific color for her wedding. I decided I wanted to use Summer Sunrise. I thought it was a cheery color and went well with the daisies. The image is from JustRite's Beautiful Blossons set. I love how Nichole Heady does the tape and glitter so I decided to do it with this card and used two different sizes for under the image. I think it really stands out. For the candle I stamped my image on tissue paper. I colored it with copics as I did the main image. I found out you have to have a light touch and smooth paper to do the coloring with copics. If there is any kind of wrinkle it will run along it. When I found the yellow candle I wasn't sure how it would take the tissue paper, but I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out like it did.
Have a wonderful day and as always thank you for stopping by!

Papertrey Posse mini challenge Color Trio
Hello!! I have had this card done for a while now but haven't blogged it yet. This is a mini challenge over at Papertrey Posse. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them until I realized that my youngest daughter had an anniversary coming up (today actually). When I was at my oldest daughter's she made me a few cut flowers and they are so much fun to play with. I am not sure of the actually color of the CS but I distressed the edges of each layer with Enchanted Evening. Instead of using a gem in the middle I used an Enchanted Evening Vintage Button and dmc embroidery thread to match. I hope they like this card. Happy Anniversary L&C!!!
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Thanks for coming by,

Papertrey Posse Challenge #1
Hi there!! It has been awhile for me for uploading anything. I have a few things done but haven't been able to post them yet.
How was everyone's weekend? Our's was pretty busy. On Sunday we went to LAX airport. Not an airport that I like going to. The only thing about going is that you have a greater chance of maybe seeing a celebrity. That was the case on Sunday. We were waiting around for our party to leave and then we spotted a few photographers taking pictures of someone. The photograher was right in front of us and then we noticed this guy trying to fit in with the crowd and he was right there in front of us. It happened to be Channing Tatum (Dear John).
Now on to my card for this challenge. It is a sketch challenge as you can see above. These challenges sure make it easier to get a card done. I wanted to use my YOF: Lily of the Valley and decide I would ink it up for this challenge. I used my Ripe Avacado copic trio to color the leaves and used T1 to shade the flowers. I cut it out with my classic ovals nesties. My DH saw it in the die and said he liked how the color of the die looked with it so I cut the scallop using Kraft CS and used Tea Dye Duo to distress the edge.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Thanks for stopping by,

You're so sweet
Good Morning! Hope everyone's weekend is going good so far. As I stated in my last post my husband and I wanted to take a ride down to the beach and along the coast. Well I am glad to say that we were able to do that yesterday. It was a nice ride and enjoy being able to get away and just having time with only the two of us. We have to go through a mountain pass from the high desert where we live now. You could tell the difference in weather as so as we started going through the mountains. The beaches were overcast but still nice for a bike ride and even going to the beach. There was a volleyball tournament going on and saw even a few sailboats in the ocean.
I was over at my daughter's one day last week to do some crafty things. She has a cutting system on her machine so she bought the cut file from My Time Made Easy and she cut some of the flowers. She played with one so we could see how they looked. She gave me a couple that she had cut so I came home and played with one myself. She also told me about a challenge over at Belles 'n Whistles that was to use your own flowers that you made so what better way to use this flower. You had to use one of their images so she let me stamp some that she had. It was really hard to decide which image I wanted to use but when I this image I just loved it so I had to color her. I love my copics for coloring. When I showed it to my DH and told him that I never thought I would enjoy coloring again he kind of chuckeled a bit and responded with "and you can also stay in the line". I had to laugh at that one.
Have a good rest of the weekend.
Thank you for stopping by,
