Good Morning everyone. Happy Halloween!! Hope everyone has a wonderful time and all the little ones get some good treats. We will be going to my daughters and trick or treat with her two sons. We also have our oldest granddaughter for the weekend so she will be joining us. Looking forward to spending time with the family.
On to my card for today. It is for a sketch challenge over at Limelight. They have a guest designer for this week and her name is Lauren Meader. She is fantastic and does alot of great designs. I thought I would join in and plus I had a punch that I haven't used and wanted to give it a try. It is pretty simple but I am liking that these days.
Thanks for coming by for a visit and hope to see you again soon!!

A larger version......
of what I made a few days ago. If you missed that post you can find it here. On this bag the pattern calls for cloth handles instead of ribbon. I made the pockets with the same material as the outside instead of matching the lining. These are fun and easy to put together.
I just love the colors in this material. I am not sure how they are picking up on your computer but the colors are so bright. You just may see a paper project soon using these colors sometime soon!
It seems that we bypassed the fall weather and moving into winter. Today it was so gloomy that it looked like it might rain but it was just the strong winds stirring things up. It was just a drastic drop in temperatures day and night.
That is about it for me on this post.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit,

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18
It seems I have been mostly Christmas cards. I can't seem to decide what I want to do this year for my cards. I haven't gotten few different stamps so it is even harder to decide.
This card is for Dawn McVey's Raspberry color challenge. I bought a new punch this weekend and wanted to try it out. It is from Martha Stewart. It was actually a set. She has a corner punch and border punch together. This set is called the double lace. I layered one on top of the other for I think and interesting look.
I stamped Text Style in Vintage Cream on Raspberry Fizz and then stamped the tree from Tree Trimming Trio in New Leaf. To me it gives you the idea of a shadow.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look,
Liz

Whimsy Monday Challenge
Good Morning! Start of another week. Hope everyone is having a wonderful start. Since it is Monday that means another Whimsy Stamp challenge. This week is a sketch challenge. Remember you don't have to use one their stamps but if you do have one we would love to see what you do with it. You can also combine this challenge with any other challenge if you chose. Come join us, we would love to see your project.
I decided to go with a different theme than a holiday with this card. This is Summer Day Emma. She is so cute and wonderful to color. I used a combination of Papertrey Ink paper and SU! I used a classic oval nestabilitie to cut her out. I inked the edges to distress it some. The flower pattern paper is some I had in my stash. I used some of that paper to make some brads with I-Top. Emma was colored with copics.
Have a wonderful day,
Thanks for stopping by today,

Papertrey October Blog Hop!
Good evening!! I am finally getting to join in the blog hop again. I am so excited to see everyone's creation!!!
I just love Dawn's new stamp set Vintage Ornaments so I knew I wan't to use it. I have so many ideas but this is the one I went with. I stamped and glittered my ornament on the clear sheets that the stamps come on to give it a little window effect. I used my classic oval to cut out my Plum Pudding matt to go over my Sweet Blush CS. I used Heavenly Melody to stamped corners in VersaMarkto make it look more like a frame and a little extra detail, then distressed the Plum Pudding with chamomile duo dye ink. Popped it up with dots on some silver CS. The card base is Plum Pudding. I used some silver ribbon form PTI for a bow in the bottom corner tied with silver cording. In the upper left corner I stamped Deck the Hall in Plum Pudding but it was hard to get a good picture with the shiny CS.
Hope you all have a great evening!!
Thanks for visiting,

Itty Bitty Pouchy Bags
Good Morning! I am so glad that it is Saturday. It has been a long week. I decided I needed to do a little sewing. It has been a little while. I found these cute little bags at Moda Bake Shop. There is a free pattern download. I made these this afternoon. They are not only cute but so fast and easy to sew up. The only thing I did different was add the flowers to the corner of the pocket. There is also a pocket on the back. I also baked some cookies tonight so I put a few in a medium glassine bag from Papertrey Ink to put in these little guys.
I will be seeing my daughters and granddaughter later on today so I will give each of them one just to show them that I am thinking about them. We will be spending some time together today doing some shopping and other things.
Have a great weekend!!

You're so sweet!!!
Good evening everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I just haven't been feeling very well so it made it hard to do anything crafty. I decided I needed to do something so I got in the craft room and did a couple of things. What better way to get back in the swing of things for me is to do a challenge.
This card is for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I still haven't been able to get any of their cute images. But soon!!!
The challenge was to use buttons on your creations. I pulled out my Papertrey Ink Everyday Button Bits. The set of image is made to use buttons with and I have been wanting to use this little cherry image. It just seemed to make itself, or I was just guided to do this card which made it easier for me than to have to sit and decide what to do.
Have a great evening, Thanks for stopping by!!

Feel Better
Good Morning!! It is the beginning of another week. How was your weekend? Saturday we spent the day at an Air show. We did alot of walking and feeling it today. We had a pretty cool week last week and won't you know it, it warmed up so it was pretty warm ( I guesss I should say hot) to be walking around as much as we did. But all in all it was a decent day and we got to spend time with the family. That makes it all worth while.
It is Monday so it is time for another Whimsy Stamps Challenge. This week all you have to do is add embossing to your card. Come join us! We would love to see what you come up with. Remember you don't have to use a Whimsy Stamp but if you have one we would love to see you use it.
This card I made with a friend of ours in mind. We found out last week that he had emergency surgery and will be out of work for a couple of weeks. It is a coworker of my husbands. We have known him now for several years and I wanted to do something for him.
I thought this dog image would be a cute one to use. I embossed the bottom of the New Leaf CS with the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder and the top I did diagonals on my Scor-Pal. The paw prints is a stamp in the sentiment stamp set as well as the Feel Better on the sign. I cut the image out using the octagon nestabilities and distressed the edges. I used my Woodless color pencilsand odorless mineral spirits to color the image. I wrapped some twine around the card. I used a small hole punch on each side to make an indentation to hold the twine in one area. For a little extra interest I used a button tied with twine.
I hope you have a wonderful day,

'Tis the Season!
Happy Saturday everyone! I am doing this early because we are going to an Air Show at Edwards Air Force Base. It is nice to see the show but an extra bonus is our daughter lives there and we get to spend time with her family also.
I have had a few different ideas for Christmas cards this year and thought I would do one and see how it looked. This one I made a wreath out of punch from Martha Stewart. I just cut our several and made a circle with them. The berries I used some rhinestones in red. I found them at Michael's. They were on a sheet with some green ones and I used the smallest size. The stocking is from PTI's Stocking Prints. The cuff of the stocking I used some Fun Flock for some texture. I glued a strip of ribbon on the top so I could hang it and make it free floating. I used the same ribbon and tied and glued it to the top. It is hard to see in the picture but I used some VersaMark Champaign to stamp some snowflakes on the white. The tag is from the Nestabilities tag trio. I also used a Fiskars corner punch on the white for a little extra detail. I think that is about it. Have a wonderful day!!

A Buck for You...
Hello everyone!! Hope you week has been a good one! It has warmed up around here again and will be for awhile it looks like. Oh, well what can we do.
This is a card I made for our son-in-law. I still struggle with male cards but maybe one day I'll get it. This is my last birthday card for a few weeks. We had three birthdays this month and they were all exactly a week apart from each other. Our son-in-laws is this Tuesday so I need to get it in the mail since he lives in Wisconsin. I used the deer (buck) from Papertrey's Forest Friends set. He is a hunter and got his first buck a few weeks back. Hence the reason for this image. The PP is also Papertrey's Autumn Abundance pack.
I just wanted to keep it simple so this is what I came up with.
You have a good day

Happy Birthday a KKSC#1
Good morning, It is Wednesday the middle of the week, downhill from here. It has been gloomy and rainy here. Well more like a drizzle. It has been kind of nice break from all the heat but it looks like it is suppose to warm up again by the end of the week.
On to my card. I found a new blog ( by way of Niki Estes ) she is on the design team. The name of this blog is Kraftin'
Kimmy Stamps. It is a new company and this is their first challenge. They are giving the lucky winner a stamp set. Since I just found it I don't have any of their stamps. I have looked at what they have and they are pretty cute, so I'll be getting some. You can use one you already have so I inked up a Bella stamp that one of my daughters gave me. She likes pink so I think she might like this card. I use Basic Grey's PP for the background. I colored her with copics and then cut it out using my nestablilities then took my two way glue pen around the edge and used my Sugar Coated glitter to give it some sparkle. I did another using Dark Chocolate to give it a shadow look. The base card is PTI Hibiscus Burst and then a layer of Dark Chocolate. The ribbon is Dark Chocolate but see that pink ribbon with the brown polka dots was around a note pad that I bought at Michael's. I didn't want to get rid of it so I saw it and used it on this card. The button is from PTI Vintage Buttons. The sentiment I cut out two window punch from SU! and then stamped the Happy Birthday.
Well have a good day!'

Trick or Treat..
Good evening! I hope the start of your week is off to a good one. We have a cloudy and dreary day today with the threat of some rain. Since all the fires that have happened so far that isn't good news for those areas.
Over at Three Clover designs, there is a challenge to make a Halloween or Autumn treat holder. I bought this pillow box template at Target a while back and wanted to use it somehow. I used Clear CS from Papertrey Ink. It is thick (which is nice for a card) but it is nice and strong for a holder. Since it is thick I wrapped my ribbon band around the sides to help hold it closed. The stamp set was Spooky Sweets from Papertrey. I stamped the bat image on the pillow box with Staz-On Black. I put a little black gem for my "O" in the word or, then I took a fine tip sharpie for the dots around my scallops. The tag is held on with wire a tiny paper clip,
That is about it for this post.

It's Monday...
that means it is time for another Whimsy Stamps Challenge. This week is to use punches. With all of the different punches out there you can really get creative. You don't have to use a Whimsy Stamp, but if you do have one we would love to see how you use it. You can even combine this challenge with others. Have fun and can't wait to see what you come up with.
I used a punch that I have had for some time now and when I went through my punches I came across it and decided to use it. I punched two scalloped circles using my Marvy Scallop punches and the design from a punch I got from Creative Memories to make the design on the top circle to get a little color through it. As I was using this punch I realized that it had a corner punch also. ( either I didn't know it was there or I forgot) so I used that to punch the corners and used a little clear gem. The PP I had in my stash which I think either came from Michael's or Joann's. I just wanted to do a little layer. I used my nestibilities to cut the focal image and scallop in a oval. Since I am a sewer also I went through some of my things and found this rick rack and decided to add it.
Hope you join us in this challenge!!!

Happy Birthday!!
Boy has this week gotten away from me. Wasn't much of a productive week for me. I don't know what happened except that I just didn't have the energy to do much crafting. I hope it come back soon!!
Well, on Tuesday is my son's birthday. He lives in a different state so I needed to get something done so I can get it in the mail. I had the idea to make a card with a pocket because I will probably just be sending some money. I used the button as my closer. On the right side of the bottom is folded over to make the pocket. I should have taken a picture to show you how I did that. I am still learning. I guess you are never too old for that.
I had another idea in mind for the front but it started to look to childish for a man with a family of his own. I decided to use thid sailboat image from Papertrey. Him and is father made some sailboats that would float when he was younger so I thought this would work. I did the sky by using a scalloped circle and sponged around it to make it look like the clouds in the sky. It is pretty simple but I think it get the point across.
That is about it for today

Thanks so much
Second post for today. Please scroll down for other post.
This card is for Nichole's challenge for WCMD. This challenge was Japan as inspiration. The first I think of is Cherry Blossom trees. I just love them because of all the blooms. They seem so soft.
I used the Out on A Limb stem stamp but instead of using the images that come with the set I decided to use tissue paper and painted it with Tattered Angles Shimmer Mist to get a multicolor flower. I then used stickles in the centers to give that extra little sparkle. The pattern paper is from The Raspberry Fizz collection. Vintage Cream and Raspberry cardstock was used.
These post are a little short so I can get them posted over at Papertrey Ink.

A true friend...
Good evening everyone! I have been working on a few things and one of them was this card. Over at Papertrey Ink, Nichole is doing some challenges for WCMD and you have until tomorrow morning to post the cards that you made. There is some wonderful prizes to be won. She had four different challenges with each being from a country as your inspiration. This card if for the first one and it is Mexico. Since the colors of the flag are red, white and green so I used that as my inspiration for this card. The flower was done by using a nestablilities pinking circle then winding thread to make the design. I saw this in CardMaking Magazine and immediately thought of a flower. The leaves and sentiment are from the In Bloom stamp set. I used buttons from the Vintage Cream and White buttons. I just cut a piece of True Leaf ribbon and button for a little extra touch by the sentiment.

Whinsy Monday..
It is Monday and that means another Whimsy Stamps Challenge. This week's theme is Sugar & Spice or Frogs & Snails. Your challenge is to make a boy or girl theme. Go on over and check it out.
For my card this week I decided to do a boy theme since I rarely do them and they are a big challenge for me. I used baseball Connor. I doesn't watch sports much but when I do it would be baseball and that is usually only the World Series. My son was born during a World Series. In fact while I was in labor my doctor sat in the room with me and we watched it together, but I think he was mostly watching what was going on with me, since we knew he was a big baby and starting to show signs of distress, so he was concerned if he was going to have to do a C-section and didn't want to go far. I did wind of giving birth to him naturally which I was grateful for. He made it into the world with a little more excitement than most and a grown man now. I guess I kind of got off the subject of the card, didn't I?
I decided to go with blue since the LA Dodgers are close to us that I would try and give them some luck to get into the playoffs. There is a clover on his hat that is what gave me the idea.
Thanks for stopping by today,
Have a good one,
Liz
Supplies:
Stamps: Connor from Whimsy Stamps
Ink: Dk Chocolate

Love....
Good evening evryone!!
I was looking through my blogs that I usually look at and saw that Three Clovers Designs was have a challenge this week using pink in honor of Breast Cancer month. This is close to my heart since it has struck a few women in my family especially one that I was really close to, my sister who lost her battle with this disease almost 28 years ago. I do whatever I can when it can help the research to the cause. So when making this card I had her in mind, and this blog is dedicated to her. I miss her everyday and don't go without thinking about her and what she endured during her battle so she could see her young sons grow. Needless to say she wasn't able to do that but she sure did give it one heck of a fight trying.
This card is 4.5 X 4.25. The stamp I used was from a past SU! set called Hope Is and was for Breast Cancer. The CS, ribbon and ink are PTI Hibiscus Burst. I went over the word Love with my quick glue pen and used some prisma glitter. I can't remember what size the white is (sorry) and stamped the heart from the set also in PTI Hibiscus Burst. Then I used a two different corner punches then put PTI New Leaf under the leaves from the corner punch and the gemstones in Antique Rose. That name even fits, it is like giving her a rose. I may just keep this card up in my craft room in honor of my sister.
Birdie (her nickname) you may be gone but you are not forgotten and always in my heart. I Love You!!
Thank you for stopping by,

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #17
It is time for another Raspberry Suite Color Challenge. I love these challenges because it me to use color combos that I probably normally wouldn't use.
I made this card with all of you in mind that kept encourage me when I was ready to give up and throw in the towel. I am glad you are there and kept giving me that little push I needed. That is the reason for the sentiment on this card. Thanks to all of you.
I used PTI Faux Ribbon on my Aqua mist ribbon to make the Dk Chocolate stripe. I used for my colors PTI Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy and Vintage Cream.
Thanks for stopping by,
Have a good one,
Liz
Supplies:
Stamps: Faux Ribbon, Mega Mixed Messages, Silent Night
Ink: PTI Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist
Paper: PTI Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, Vintage Cream
Accessories: SU! Trio Flower Punch, EK Success sm. scallop border punch, SU! Word Window Punch, SU! Modern Label Punch, Brad stickers, PTI Aqua Mist and Pure Poppy ribbon
Have a goodie!
Well it is Thursday, it is just me or is the week seem to be going by slower? We had to have a vehicle in the shop and it seems to be taking longer than it should be. With the weather starting to cool down in fact it is getting down right cold at night, we need that vehicle for my husband to take to work. Let's hope it is done today.
I made this little milk carton using one of Lauren Meader's timeless templates. She is having a challenge this week to use one of her templates. I used these snack size snickers bars as my inspiration. I went for the colors. I am not sure how long these little candies will stay in this milk carton since this is one of my favorite candy bars.
I printed the template on Dark Chocolate CS . The band is layered with Pure Poppy and white. I sponged the edges of the white with Enchanted Evening. I found some wide rick rack in my drawer so I put it on the bottom. I used some rub-ons on the top of the band. I used a double slit punch from SU! on the top and ran some grogain ribbon through and tied a bow to hold it closed.
Have a good one,
Thanks for visiting today,

I made this little milk carton using one of Lauren Meader's timeless templates. She is having a challenge this week to use one of her templates. I used these snack size snickers bars as my inspiration. I went for the colors. I am not sure how long these little candies will stay in this milk carton since this is one of my favorite candy bars.
