Have a wonderful day!
Good Morning!! It is a rainy, dreary, morning here in Southern California. We are suppose to have rain the rest of the week. Where is Spring? I know our weather isn't nearly as bad as some of you have had, so you are probably wondering why I would say that. I am an outdoors person and I so want to start working in the flower beds of the backyard.
I made this card for the new weekly challenges over at Papertrey Ink. The challenge was to put your sentiment on vellum. I have been wanting to make one of these flowers so I thought about putting the sentiment on the stem of the flower. I made the flower first by ironing some material onto freezer paper. I used PTI Beautiful Blossoms #2 to cut our several of the flowers and then layered them and sewed a Orange Zest button on top with some thread. I just fluffed the edges up some. The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of vellum cut out with the XL Rickrack die with versamark first on my stamp and then New Leaf ink and then I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I distressed the edges with some ink as well. The sentiment is from Out of the Box. The base of my card is Vintage Cream distressed with Vintage Cream ink and Orange Zest. The mat is Vintage Cream distressed with Orange Zest and the corners punched with SU! ticket corner punch. The second mat is Hawaiian Shores and distressed with Vintage Cream. I then put a strip of score tape (1/8) and used Prisma glitter.
Has my title says "Have a wonderful day"

Wow, this is such a unique twist on the vellum strip. Your flowers are gorgeous, almost looks like a boquet. Great job!
