Good Morning!! Can you believe this week is half over already! Time is just flying by way too fast.This is a very simple card. I have been needing to make this card for a couple of weeks now and just didn't know what I wanted to do and they are the hardest to make because of the reason. Our son-in-law lost his Grandmother (Cookie Grandma) the day before Halloween. He was really close to her and it wasn't any easy time. As I am sure it still isn't. She was a very nice lady. She raised I believe 16 children, lived alone for as long as she could and celebrated her 90th birthday this last June. She will be greatly missed.
I started out looking at what paper and stamp set to use. As you can see there really is no stamping except for the sentiment on the inside. When I saw this paper I felt that it could stand on its own and didn't need anything else. I did put a rub-on in the upper corner. I did put a background paper and punch the edge with a EK success scallop punch.
I also took a piece of the paper after cutting it down and put in on the inside and stamped my sentiment on it.

Wow.. 16 kids. Sounds like she was an incredible woman. Sorry for your family's loss. Your card is absolutely beautiful and so creative. It is an elegant tribute to a grand lady.
I think it looks lovely and the paper is just wonderful for this kind of card. I know L is going to appreciate it.
